The sensational solution to our enormous problems could be sitting quietly alone

French mathematician, physicist, inventor, philosopher, writer and Catholic theologian Blaise Pascale wrote in Pensées:

"All of humanity's problems stem from man's inability to sit quietly in a room alone.”

Imagine… if the entire world sat alone quietly for two weeks.

The pandemic would end.

Wars might stop.

With such suffering in the world, no wonder we rush about, grasping at things outside of ourselves to feel better.

Two weeks might be wishful thinking, but 30 seconds could be the start of something beautiful.
